Custom options
The option lists throughout MedJot cover the common case. When they do not cover yours, add your own.
Adding one
Every extensible list carries an inline add control. Type the option, and it appears in that list from then on. You can also manage them all in one place at Settings → Custom Options.
Options you add are private to your account and sync to whatever device you sign in on.
Where they work
Roughly twenty lists accept custom options:

Submitting an option for everyone
When you add an option you can also submit it for review. A MedJot admin looks at it, and an approved option becomes available to every user as a standard choice.
This is how the option lists improve: the vocabulary a service actually uses is known by the people using it, not by us. Submitting is entirely optional — declining keeps the option private and working exactly the same for you.
Options are reviewed before being promoted, so nothing you submit appears for other users automatically.
Editing and removing
Settings → Custom Options lists everything you have added, grouped by section, where you can rename or delete. Deleting an option does not alter reports where you already used it — the text is already written.
A note on wording
Custom options become report text verbatim. Write them as they should read in the record — Productive cough, green sputum rather than prod cough grn — since the whole point is not having to tidy the wording afterwards.
