4Hs / 4Ts — The reversible causes of cardiac arrest. Part of the Cardiac Arrest presentation.

ACVPU — Alert, Confusion, Voice, Pain, Unresponsive. The consciousness scale used by NEWS2. The C exists so that "alert but newly confused" can be recorded, which plain AVPU cannot express.

AMT-10 — Abbreviated Mental Test, a ten-item cognitive screen.

ATMIST — Age, Time, Mechanism, Injuries, Signs, Treatment. The pre-alert structure. See ATMIST pre-alert.

CFS — Clinical Frailty Scale, 1–9, describing baseline function.

Do Not Decrypt — A gateway configuration exempting a domain from TLS interception. The exemption MedJot asks for. See TLS inspection.

ePRF — Electronic Patient Report Form. The record MedJot helps you produce, for pasting into your service's own system.

EtCO₂ — End-tidal carbon dioxide, in kPa or mmHg. The unit is a preference, stamped onto each observation set at creation.

GCS — Glasgow Coma Scale, scored by E/V/M component. MedJot shows no total until all three are set.

Grace — The 7-day period after an organisation's bill is due, during which members keep Premium. Demos have none.

HSTS — HTTP Strict Transport Security. .app is HSTS-preloaded, which is why a certificate error on medjot.app cannot be clicked through.

IndexedDB — A browser database. One of the two places MedJot keeps report data on the device.

Join code — An organisation-wide code anyone can use to claim a seat, as opposed to a per-person invitation. See Joining an organisation.

MMSE — Mini-Mental State Examination.

NEWS2 — National Early Warning Score 2, from seven parameters. No score until all seven are recorded. See NEWS2.

PHQ-9 — A nine-item depression severity questionnaire.

Presentation type — Which of the four documentation modes you are in. See Presentation types.

Primary survey — Catastrophic haemorrhage plus ABCDE.

PWA — Progressive Web App. A web app installable to a home screen, working offline. MedJot is one; there is nothing to install from an app store.

RCUK ALS — Resuscitation Council UK Advanced Life Support, the algorithm the Cardiac Arrest presentation follows.

Redaction — Automated stripping of identifiers before anything reaches an AI model. A safety net, not a guarantee. See What gets sent.

SBAR — Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation. The structure of the GP handover.

Scale 1 / Scale 2 — The two NEWS2 oxygen saturation scales. Scale 2 is for confirmed hypercapnic respiratory failure, chosen once per patient and always named in the report.

Seat — One member's place in an organisation licence.

TICLS — Tone, Interactivity, Consolability, Look, Speech. Paediatric assessment triangle, in the Child Medical presentation.

TLS inspection — Decrypting and re-signing HTTPS traffic at a gateway. The most common cause of MedJot failing on a managed network. See TLS inspection.

TOXBASE / NPIS — The UK poisons information sources. Where any threshold used in the overdose calculator must come from — MedJot carries no drug data of its own.

Tri-state — The three states of every finding: not assessed, positive, negative. The safety rule the app is built on. See How reports work.

Wells score — Probability scores for PE and DVT.
