Organisations
An organisation is a multi-seat MedJot licence. A service, trust, department or training provider pays once and its members get Premium as members, without each buying a subscription.
The parts
| Members | Clinicians holding a seat. They use MedJot exactly as anyone else does, with Premium included. |
| Managers | Run the organisation from a separate portal: members, invitations, billing, branding. |
| Seats | How many members the organisation is licensed for. |
| Billing | A flat monthly or yearly price, paid by the manager. |
For members
Joining is the whole of it: you accept an invitation or enter a join code, and Premium appears. See Joining an organisation.
Three things worth knowing:
- Your reports remain yours and remain on your device. An organisation is a licensing relationship, not a supervisory one. Managers cannot see your reports, your notes or your patients — nobody can, because clinical data never leaves the device.
- Your Premium lasts while the organisation's bill is paid. If it lapses, Premium ends with it and your account reverts to free. Nothing is deleted.
- Support tickets from members of a paid-up organisation are expedited automatically and sort to the front of our queue. You do not have to claim it — it is derived from your membership. See Getting help.

The lifecycle
An organisation is always in exactly one state:

Transitions between these happen on their own as time passes — nothing needs an administrator to notice.
Paying at any point during grace restores the organisation to active with nothing lost.
A demo has no grace period. Demo Premium ends at exactly the demo end date. Grace exists to cover a late payment on an agreed bill; on a demo there is no bill, and extending it would be time nobody agreed to give. See Demos.
Getting an organisation set up
Organisations are created by MedJot rather than self-serve, because they start with a quote. Request one from the pricing page or email hello@swyftscale.com.
We create the organisation and hand it to its first manager by invitation — a link, a code, a QR or a pre-written email. From that point the manager runs it.
