ATMIST pre-alert
Drafts an ATMIST pre-alert for resus — Age, Time, Mechanism, Injuries, Signs, Treatment — from the assessment.
Using it
Launched from Plan & Outcome. The form opens partly filled in and you generate from there.
It seeds itself from your observations
The vitals fields are pre-populated from your most recent observation set: blood pressure split into systolic and diastolic, EtCO₂ converted to kPa for this form.
It never overwrites anything you have already typed. If you have filled a field in yourself, the seeding leaves it alone.
Check it before you transmit
A pre-alert is read out to a receiving team who will act on it. Everything in the AI overview about drafts applies here with more force than anywhere else in MedJot: read the whole thing, correct it, and own what you say.
Queueing
The pre-alert is one of the three tools that can be queued when there is no signal — with an important caveat.
A queued pre-alert sends when the connection returns, which may not be when you still need it. MedJot never queues anything without being asked, and a pre-alert is the request where that rule earns its keep: AI firing later that a clinician did not ask for is not a feature on a clinical tool. If the alert is time-critical, use the radio.
A queued request is discarded — never run — if you reset the report, because its findings describe a patient who is no longer there.
