Care bundles

A care bundle walks you through the steps for a presentation and records which of them you completed, into the report.

Three are available from the clinical tools grid:

  • Falls
  • Hypoglycaemia
  • Stroke

How they work

Open the bundle and work down it, marking off each step as you carry it out. When you save, the completed steps become part of the report text.

The value is twofold: the bundle is a prompt at the moment you are doing the thing, and the documentation of having done it is a by-product rather than a separate task afterwards.

What is recorded

What you marked, and nothing else. A step you did not mark is not recorded as done, and is not recorded as omitted either — the same tri-state logic as everywhere else in MedJot. If you deliberately did not do a step and want the record to say why, use the section free text.

They are prompts, not protocols

The bundles reflect commonly used step lists. They are not your service's clinical guidelines, they are not kept in step with them, and where the two differ, your service's guidance is the one that counts. MedJot documents what you did; it does not tell you what to do.
