Plans, payment and refunds

The plans

Monthly, quarterly, six-month, yearly and lifetime, plus a trial.

Prices are shown live on the pricing page and in the upgrade screen. They are set centrally rather than in the app's code, so both always show the same figure as the one you will be charged, including during a sale.

Buying

Upgrade from the header, the sidebar, or any locked feature's panel. Payment is handled by Stripe Checkout.

We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us your subscription status; that is the extent of what we hold. See Privacy controls.

Paying from your phone when the work browser will not do it

Work devices sometimes block payment pages, or you simply do not want to enter card details on a shared tablet. The upgrade screen offers a QR code: scan it with your phone, pay there, and the entitlement appears on the work device.

The trial

One trial per account, ever. It gives full Premium for its length and then ends.

A trial is card-backed — you provide a card at the start and are charged when it ends unless you cancel first. This is why a trial converts by itself, and why the same account cannot take free time repeatedly by re-subscribing.

Promotional offers of free time work the same way and consume the account's one trial.

Managing your subscription

Account → Membership, which opens the Stripe Billing Portal. From there you can update your card, change plan, see invoices and cancel.

Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.

Sales and promotions

MedJot runs occasional time-limited offers — either money off, or a stretch of free time before the first charge. When one is running, the pricing page and the upgrade screen show the sale price and a countdown.

The countdown runs off our server's clock, so a device with the wrong date cannot show a finished sale as live.

Existing subscribers keep the price they signed up on. A price change creates a new price for new subscriptions; yours does not move underneath you until you cancel or change term.

Only one promotion runs at a time.

Refunds

The refund policy is the authoritative statement. Raise a refund request through Feedback & Support in the sidebar and it becomes a ticket you can follow — see Support tickets.

When you submit one we store what you tell us plus a review snapshot of your account: account age, recent sign-in and report-use indicators, and AI usage totals. We do not inspect the content of your reports — we cannot, as it never reaches us.

Payments and connectivity

Payment actions fail clearly rather than queue when you have no signal. A payment that silently retried later would be one you did not knowingly make, possibly at a price that had since changed. See Working offline.

Organisation seats

If your employer pays, you do not buy anything — you get Premium as a member of the organisation, for as long as the organisation's bill is paid. See Organisations.
